the easy days..and padded corners

Bailey has started to crawl...and if this doesnt make things harder then here is this for you...she pulls up to everything! I mean EVERYTHING! If it is within her reach she will try and conquer it. It's crazy it's hard and I am truely beginning to miss the easy days. Yes compared to this those were the easy days. I am beginning to think its all up hill from here. It is truely a battle she heres lots of no's and uh uh, which in all honesty does nothing she just looks at me and goes right back to where i just pulled her away from. It has even gotten as bad as her smiling at me and shaking her head no...at me! Well I mean I know that she wasn't really saying no but it did show her "I do what I want" side. Ok I sound like a harsh parent here now and don't get me wrong I love to watch her determination. She takes things as if she is the conquerer and nothing can deafeat her...except that darn hearth of the fire place she has bumped her head on the brick so many times you would think she would learn. I have even invested in the corner padding which does help but it doesnt change the fact that the brick is still open for head bumping and scraping. If only they made foam that went all the way around so that it was like a padded room?! On a much lighter note I am happy to say that she has completed her swimming classes for the month and I can't wait for the next ones. At least I can teach her something!

The Dolphins on the Bus?!

Bailey had her first swimming class today and I must say it was something different...I learned a whole new version of "the wheels on the bus" equppied with dolphins!

Needless to say she had fun with her 2 friends...even though she was kind of just there....I did however get a few kicks and splashes out of her.

I do love swim classes now though cause when we got home she was out like a light...and it is very hard to get this little girl to take a nap. Hell will freeze over before she will let her body go to the sandman. Her after swim nap was only for about 2 hours and then she was up ready to party for the rest of the night!

Meaning that tonight she will have to lay in her crib and cry herself to sleep. It has been a very daunting task to get Bailey to want to sleep in her own crib seeing as she has slept with us for 6 months. I finally decided that I would like to have some peace when I sleep making the choice to put Bailey in her own crib...and wouldn't you know she sleeps through the night! Geez why didnt i start this whole crib thing sooner! All those hours of lost sleep and her crib was right there!

1 2 3 TIME to blog!

I have definately never blogged before...but decided that I might as well try it oneday, seeing as I do love to write! Among other things when I do have the time seeing as I have one very spoiled 6 month old baby girl who doesnt even give me the time to pee let alone write.

Life as a mother has been interesting and i wont dare say it's easy but I have grown to love it. I used to be one of those that always saidIi wasn't having kids till I was 26...and here I am 19 and a proud mother of a miss Bailey Raine Kilgore. Tyler and I will have been ogether for 3 years this October which will also mark the big ONE for miss Bailey!

WOW one! i look at my little girl and think where has 6 months gone just yesterday i was seeing yes+ on the pregnancy test, or seeing you for the first time in an ultrasound, or seeing your beautiful face the day you graced the world with your presence, and now you are 6 months old! In a way it breaks my heart...if only you could stay little forever...I look at you and thing oh my gosh oneday I will have a teenager!

Until then I will cherish every moment you are little cause time really does fly!
